Merve Kızıl (b. 1988, Turkey) is an artist based in Amsterdam, working in painting. Her practice is shaped by an early education in exploring human emotion, identity and memory, which left her questioning feelings and what lies beneath them. In her paintings, this becomes a quiet attention to presence, expressed through silence. She works in layers of acrylic, at times with pigment, charcoal and ink.

On 14–18 October 2026, her work will be presented at Art The Hague with Ophrys Art Gallery.
